Contractor website pricing

How Much Does a Contractor Website Cost in the UK?

A contractor website from Rimon Graphics costs £600 – £1,000 fixed price, agreed before any work starts. The exact figure depends on how many pages and services you need, whether you have content and photos ready, and the local SEO scope. It is confirmed upfront, in writing.

What changes the cost of a contractor website?

Six things move the price. Understanding them is how you tell a cheap quote from a cheap website.

Number and type of pages

A five-page credibility site and a site with individual service pages, project galleries and coverage information take very different amounts of research, writing and build time. Page count is usually the single biggest driver of cost.

Content writing and planning

We either write from short interviews with you, improve copy you supply, or build with finished content you provide. Each is a different amount of work. Your proposal states which applies, how many revision rounds are included, and who is responsible for technical accuracy.

Project photography and case studies

Organising galleries, optimising images and writing up case studies all add time. Real project evidence is also the thing that makes a contractor site convert, so it is usually the effort worth paying for.

New build or website redesign

A redesign can need a content audit, a URL map, redirects, analytics checks and migration. It is not automatically cheaper, because preserving the pages that already bring you enquiries takes care.

Enquiry features and integrations

A simple contact form and a quote form with photo uploads, WhatsApp, booking tools, CRM links or job-management software are very different builds. Custom integrations are specified and quoted separately.

SEO scope

A search-friendly build is not the same as an ongoing SEO service. The build can include crawlable navigation, metadata, redirects, schema where appropriate, image optimisation and analytics setup. Rankings and AI citations cannot be guaranteed.

Does a website redesign cost less than a new build?

A contractor website redesign is cheaper only when useful content, structure and technology can be retained. If the existing site has weak pages, outdated plugins, unclear ownership or damaging URL structure, rebuilding carefully may offer better value. We review your current site before deciding which route is appropriate.

What should be included in the website quote?

Any serious quote answers three questions: what is being built, what the commercial terms are, and what continues to cost after launch.

Build scope

✓ Discovery and website plan
✓ Confirmed page list
✓ Design and mobile layouts
✓ Development and testing
✓ Content responsibility
✓ Project galleries and reviews
✓ Forms and integrations
✓ Redirects for a redesign
✓ Analytics and Search Console setup
✓ Launch and handover

Commercial terms

✓ Deposit and payment stages
✓ Number of revision rounds
✓ Delivery dependencies
✓ Ownership of site, domain and content
✓ Licence ownership
✓ VAT treatment

Continuing costs

✓ Domain renewal
✓ Hosting
✓ Premium software licences
✓ Security and maintenance
✓ Content updates
✓ Ongoing SEO or reporting

Inclusion depends on the written proposal. Not every item is standard on every project, so treat this as the checklist to hold your quote against.

Example contractor website scopes

Three typical projects, and the factors that push each one up or down. None of these are fixed packages.

A plumber replacing a basic brochure site

Emergency plumbing, general plumbing, bathrooms, project proof, reviews and a clear quote or call journey. The price rises with more service pages, photography to organise, and coverage across several towns.

A heating and gas company expanding its services

Boiler installation, servicing and repair pages, accurate Gas Safe evidence, content migrated from the old site, and redirect work so existing search visibility is not lost in the move.

A builder targeting higher-value projects

Extensions, renovations and new-build pages, detailed case studies, enquiry qualification so your time is not wasted on unsuitable jobs, and a larger content requirement overall.

These are sample scopes, not client results. They show how the same questions get answered differently depending on trade and ambition.

How Rimon Graphics prepares your quote

Four steps, so the price you are given is based on a real scope rather than a guess.

01

Review the existing website, if there is one

We look at what you have now, what is working, and what is holding enquiries back. If there is no site yet, we start from your services and coverage.

02

Confirm services, customers and coverage

We confirm the services you want to sell, the customers you want more of, the areas you cover, and the proof you can supply — projects, reviews and accreditations.

03

Agree the sitemap and responsibilities

We agree the page list, who writes what, how many revision rounds are included, and which features and integrations are in scope.

04

Issue a written scope

You receive the build cost, what is included, what is excluded, and which costs continue after launch — in writing, before any work starts.

Get a Clear Price for Your Contractor Website

Tell us about your trade, your current website, your services and your goals. You will get a recommended page structure and a written quote showing the build cost, what is included, and which costs continue after launch.
